My defendant owns a business. I didn't know anything about the businesses finances or assets at all. I just knew the business conducted sloppy work and I wanted what I was owed. After successfully suing the business, I tried several times to contact the business owner to get my money. I was never successful. I sought help through California Court Collections. They asked for all the information that I had on the business including receipts and all the names of people I had interacted with at the business. I supplied them with all I had. Surprisingly California Court Collections was able to take money from the defendant's receivables and apply it to the judgment. I was so happy to have finally nailed the business who ripped me off.

The person I sued had used other people's names to obtain assets. I figured I would never collect because the defendant would just change his name. I contacted California Court Collections and provided all the names I knew the defendant would use. They used their investigations division to obtain detailed information on him. When they called to tell me they were successful in finding assets to satisfy the judgment, I was shocked. I waited and shortly thereafter I received a check from California Court Collections for the monies owed. I don't know how they did it, but I know I could not have done this myself.
